Yes, there are limited spots available for The Grand Escape’s events: the rule is first come, first served. Attention: in the first hours, the site could be slow or unreachable due to the large number of people who carry out the registration procedure at the same time. If this were the case, do not be alarmed and wait 15 minutes before accessing the site again.

How does the registration work?

You don’t need to provide documents at the time of registration. It is enough to complete the procedure. Registration will be on on May 2 at 12 PM CEST, so it’s best to create an account now. Each participant must have her/his account. Registration will be open from May 2 at 12 PM CEST to May 22 at 11:59 PM CEST. Registration will be closed earlier when all the slots are filled.

When does the event start?

The event package collection is on August 23, and the collective start is on August 24 from Wangen im Allgäu.

How to get to the starting point

By car: Wangen im Allgäu is easily accessible via major roadways. Check online mapping services (e.g., Google Maps) for directions and estimated travel time based on your departure location.
By train: Wangen im Allgäu has a train station with connections to regional and long-distance routes. Check the Deutsche Bahn (German railway) website for schedules and ticket information.
By plane: The closest major airports are Memmingen (FMM), Friedrichshafen (FDH), and Stuttgart (STR). From there, you can take regional trains or buses to reach Wangen im Allgäu.

Are there any pre-arranged stops? Where do I sleep, and where do I eat?

The Grand Escape is defined as a “no-stop” event in the sense that there are no fixed stops but each participant can freely decide where to stop, to eat and to sleep along the way. Our advice is to study the route before leaving in order to get an idea of the possible stops that you will make.

How do I find facilities along the way to eat and sleep? Do you have any agreements with some facilities?

We have no agreements along the way. The best way to find a place at the best price is to take advantage of the technology and, in particular, use and Google Maps. The offers that you will find on these two websites are the best in absolute and we would not be able to get these offers even with a possible agreement. Google Maps allows you to understand where an accommodation facility is and how many kilometers separate you from it while allows you to book online.

Registrations are already closed. is there the possibility of registering the same?

Registering for The Grand Escape after the official registration date is impossible.

I am regularly registered, but I cannot participate. Is there a refund?

As per our regulations, which you must read before registering, there is no refund/ partial refund/transfer of registration to the following year.

Cancellation – If, for reasons of force majeure that do not depend on the organization but on environmental and / or health reasons at national or international level, the event could not take place, the amount paid at the time of registration will not be refunded but will be considered valid for the next edition.
