All three 2026 editions are full. Before public registration for the 2027 events opens, there is one earlier door: the Bike Adventure Series bundle, live on 1 November 2026 at 18:00 CET. You sign up for Tuscany Trail 2027 and add your next adventure in the same checkout — The Grand Escape or Unpaved Roads — a month before everyone else. Places in the bundle are limited.

How the bundle works

The Grand Escape is a member of Bike Adventure Series, along with Tuscany Trail, NorthCape4000 and others. The bundle is what that membership is good for: you build your 2027 riding calendar in one go instead of chasing three separate registration days.

On 1 November at 18:00 CET you register for Tuscany Trail 2027 — a month before it opens to the public — and pick what goes next to it: one of the three Grand Escape routes, or Unpaved Roads. Same checkout, same account, limited places.

Create your Bike Adventure Series account before then. Each person registering must have their own personal account, and doing it in advance is the difference between registering in two minutes and losing a place while you fill in a form.

Before you register

When exactly does 2027 registration open?

The bundle opens on 1 November 2026 at 18:00 CET. That is early access, not the general opening: public registration for the single 2027 events comes later, and we email the waitlist before both.

Do I have to ride Tuscany Trail to use the bundle?

Yes — the bundle starts from Tuscany Trail 2027 and lets you add one more adventure next to it, The Grand Escape or Unpaved Roads. If you only want The Grand Escape, wait for public registration and stay on the waitlist.

Are the spots limited? Can I register later?

Each event has a maximum capacity to preserve the experience quality. All three 2026 editions sold out, so plan on registering the day it opens rather than later.

How do I register?

Create an account at bikeadventureseries.com so you'll be ready on 1 November. Get in the newsletter for updates and direct links.

What about medical certificates?

You'll need to provide a medical certificate two months before your event. We'll send templates and instructions. You don't need it on registration day. For Italian residents: a "Certificato Medico Agonistico per il ciclismo" is needed.

Are all routes on roads?

Yes — all on tarmac, cycle paths, and near-zero traffic secondary roads.

What bike should I bring?

Road, endurance, or gravel bikes all work perfectly. We recommend 28–35mm tires.

Any time limits or checkpoints?

None. Complete the journey at whatever pace feels right to you.

Where do I sleep and eat?

Your choice entirely. Hotels, camping, restaurants, or packed meals — plan however suits your style.

What if I'm registered and can't participate?

As per the rules, which you must read before registering, there is no refund, partial refund, or transfer of registration to the following year or other editions.

Are the finishing and starting points different?

All routes are loops, so the finish and start are in the same city.

What about parking? How do we reach the starting points and handle the other logistics?

We'll send a detailed guide covering all logistics, on- and off-bike, along with an itinerary for your family, partner, or friends waiting for you at the starting point.

Where can I leave the bike box?

The easiest solution is to ask your accommodation - they will hold your bike box for you

I have never done bikepacking — what do I need?

Don't worry — The Grand Escape was the first experience for many. We'll send all tips and tricks in the digital guide, and you'll be able to ask participants directly in the upcoming forum on Bike Adventure Series. Write us at info@thegrandescape.cc for tips!
